how much can we film?
Each box comes with enough recording space for a full wedding day — prep through to the dance floor. If you want more capacity, get in touch when you book.
do we get all the footage, or an edit?
Everything. Every clip off the SD cards, delivered as a download link. If you'd like a cut-together highlights film too, that's The Edit — an optional £149 add-on at checkout. We host it digitally forever so you can watch it anytime and send the link out.
how does the 48-hour turnaround work?
The clock starts when your returned box arrives with us, not when you post it. Post it back Monday and you're typically watching by midweek. Add rush turnaround at checkout for 24 hours instead.
what if the camera breaks?
These are old machines and we're honest about that. Every camera is serviced and tested before it ships, and we include a spare battery. Accidents and fair wear and tear are covered in our terms — we'll contact you before any charge beyond your hire fee.
where do you deliver?
Anywhere in mainland UK, postage included both ways.
how far ahead should we book?
Popular Saturdays go first. A couple of months ahead is safe; last-minute is sometimes possible, so ask.
how much is vintage camcorder hire?
Boxes start from £249. That includes two charged camcorders, batteries, memory cards, a filming guide, prepaid return packaging, all your raw footage, and free UK delivery both ways.
is it just for weddings?
Weddings are our main focus, but the box works brilliantly for parties, hen dos, birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and any celebration worth keeping.
can I cancel or change my booking?
Cancellations more than 28 days before your event receive a full refund. Between 14–28 days, we refund 50%. Within 14 days, bookings are non-refundable as your kit will already be reserved.
how does booking work?
Choose your event date at recur.day/book, add any extras, and pay securely via Stripe. We confirm instantly and post your box ahead of the event.
