1. Hire agreement

rec ur day provides vintage camcorder hire for weddings and events across the UK. The standard box hire is £249 and includes camcorders, accessories, prepaid return packaging, and digital delivery of all raw footage within 72 hours of us receiving the returned box (48 hours if you purchased the Rush add-on).

You are responsible for keeping the equipment safe during the hire period, following the filming guide, and posting the box back promptly using the prepaid label provided.

2. Payment

Full payment is taken upfront at checkout via Stripe in GBP. You will receive an email receipt from Stripe. Prices shown on our website are the prices you pay, plus any add-ons you select.

3. Saved payment method

By booking, you authorise us to store your payment method securely via Stripe for potential post-hire charges. This may include charges for damage beyond fair wear and tear, loss of equipment or accessories, or late return fees as set out below. We will notify you before charging your card, except where urgent recovery of equipment is required.

4. Damage, loss & late returns

We understand accidents happen. If equipment is damaged, lost, or not returned on time, we may charge reasonable repair, replacement, or late fees up to the full replacement value of the kit. We will contact you with details and evidence where applicable. You may dispute any charge by replying to our email within 14 days.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations more than 28 days before your event date receive a full refund. Between 14–28 days, we refund 50%. Within 14 days of your event date, bookings are non-refundable as we will have reserved and prepared your kit. Contact us at our contact page to request a cancellation.

6. Delivery

We post to UK addresses only. You must provide an accurate shipping address. See our delivery page for how shipping works.

7. Footage

Raw footage is delivered digitally via your account once we have processed the returned box. Optional highlight edits ("The Edit") are delivered when ready and may arrive separately from raw footage.

8. Data & privacy

We collect your name, email, phone number, and shipping address to fulfil your booking and send service-related emails. Payment data is processed by Stripe; emails are sent via Resend. We do not sell your data. We retain booking records for as long as needed for legal and operational purposes.

If you opt in to marketing at checkout, we may send occasional news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
